About the business
Bliss Bakery is a newly established, 100% gluten-free, artisan bakery situated in Hamilton. After a successful three month period as a pop-up shop we are ready to grow. We will be reopening early February.
Our aim is to offer beautifully crafted gluten-free baked goods that will feed the spirits as well as the bodies of our customers.

Queenwood Village shops, where we are located, include specialty outlets which Bliss Bakery comfortably compliments.
About the role
We are currently looking for a new team member who, as a qualified and experienced baker, will bring fresh skills and creativity to Bliss. In return they will learn new skills from us. Training will be provided in the exciting and growing art of gluten-free baking.
This baker/ pastry chef will:
- Have a clear understanding of what foods are gluten free and prevention of cross contamination
- Be able to demonstrate pastry skills eg: croissants, puff pastry. Part of the role is to be willing to experiment to adapt recipes to gluten-free
- Bring new ideas to menu planning
- Be passionate about ensuring everything that goes out of the kitchen is of the highest standard
- Work independently as well as alongside other team members
- Have a minimum of three years pastry experience.
The position is full-time with negotiable hours. Hourly rate $20-$25.00 (depending on experience).

Initial contract for 11 months – February to December 2021.
Possible renewal after December 2021.
